-Meaning-意味
Daruma is regarded as a talisman of good luck to the Japanese people.
だるま(達磨)は日本で昔から縁起の良いものとされ愛されてきました。

There was this Chinese monk called, Bodhidharma. After nine years of meditation by facing a wall without saying any words, he reached a realization. From that episode, people think Daruma is a Symbol for “Always rising after a fall” which means overcoming adversity in any situation in life.
”七転び八起き”や"面壁九年"などなど、苦境にも耐え忍んで転んでは起き上がるという意味や自分自身を見つめ悟りを開くという意味など、人生で起こる逆境に打ち勝つための意味が全て込められています。

-Design-デザイン
“Even when times are tough like, you can’t see any bright future, Daruma is always patient and persistent to make dreams come true. I visualize the concept of Daruma to design this.
先行きがわからない視界の悪い霧の中でも歯を食いしばり耐え、祈願が成就するまで片眼の光を灯し、いつか自分の想い描くスター(夢)になる様子をデザイン。

When being patient or challenging, I think people are “holding out” against adversity not “pushing” themselves. That’s how I feel. ”踏張日本” is a original word which I create and design to visualize my thoughts.
何かに耐え忍んだり、挑んでいると時は”頑張る”という言葉よりも”踏ん張る”という言葉が合っているのではないかという観点から”踏張日本”という言葉をオリジナルの髭文字でデザインし、フロントではなく背中に背負っていくという意味合いでバックプリントにしてます。
